LIPObind™ is a patented fibre complex that consists of:
• Non-soluble fibres that are clinically proven to bind dietary fats through irreversible
hydrophobic interactions
• Soluble fibres that are highly viscous in nature that bind bile acids and slow the
absorption of glucose

Superior Fat Binding Efficacy

• LIPObind™ absorbs dietary fats through irreversible hydrophobic interactions. This
prevents the pancreatic lipase from digesting the fats into smaller units that could pass
through the cellular wall of the small intestine for absorption.

• Once LIPObind™ binds dietary fats in the stomach, the complex is too large to be
absorbed in the small intestine and is therefore eliminated naturally through the stool.

Helps Decrease Food Cravings

Once ingested, the LIPObind™ viscous soluble fibre complex expands and
forms a stable fluid gel, this slows the rate at which food leaves the stomach
and minimizes rapid sugar rise in the blood level known as “Sugar-spike”.

Sugar-spike causes the body to ‘overreact’ by releasing large amounts of insulin which in turn ‘depresses’
the blood glucose level below normal.

Helps Supress Appetite

The LIPObind™ viscous fibre complex delays gastric emptying by producing a
bulking effect and by increasing the viscosity of gastric content. This
produces a prolonged period of reduced feelings of hunger and desire to eat
following the meal.

Lowers Blood Cholesterol

LIPObind™ also helps to reduce cholesterol by reducing the absorption of dietary
cholesterol. Also, LIPObind™ forms a complex with bile acids which are needed to
digest fat. As a result the liver uses additional cholesterol to create more bile acid
to replace that which has passed through the body with LIPObind™.
